Our indoor soccer league season came to an abrupt end today despite a very strong effort by the HSC team.
The first half had our opponent jump in to a 3-1 lead thanks to some unfortunate bounces, but nonetheless, they played well and earned that lead.
Down 3-1 at the half, a spirited HSC team battled back to even the score in the second half at 3-3.
Late in the contest, we had some good scoring chances but narrowly missed taking the lead and then a late goal by our opponent, put the game away.
The top 2 regular season teams will battle one another next weekend in the final. The game should be a great one as each team has one win against the other this season.
To the HSC All-Stars, I would like to say thanks for a great year! It was action packed, exciting and unfortunately as in all sports, it's a game of near hits and misses.
Have a great summer and hopefully we'll see most or all of you back again next season!
