Hey Jon...............I have a question about this pool boy.

Is he always turned on? What if I am not watching hockey (say on Sunday night when I am watching Amazing Race, or say I have a wonderful gentleman over and we are getting it on, do I suddenly hear "Jon Horst is currently in 1st place"?) This could be quite embarrassing, How would I tell him that he is actually number 1?

And...........I've always wanted a pool boy.....does he also make pina coladas?

lol .... well as long as it's "Jon Horst is in 1st place" then everything is as it should be. ;D

But seriously... here's the deal

Whenever the Pool Boy is running there will be a system tray icon, as shown in the picture below.



If you want to close the Pool Boy you simply right click on the system tray icon and you will see the following:


Just click on the "Exit Pool Boy" and the Pool Boy will be no longer.

Interestingly you made me realize the first problem with version 1.00 Beta. It is as follows:

If the Pool Boy is running prior to the server coming "online" then the Pool Boy will not connect to the server when it does come "online" and therefore it will not receive any of the data from the server.

What does this mean?
It means that you shouldn't start the Pool Boy until the games have begun. If you have started it before the games have begun you won't receive the updates from the server, but simply close the Pool Boy and start it again and you'll be in business.

The short & simple: If it's not working, exit it and start it again

I will have this fixed for the official release

With regards to the Pool Boy making Pina Coladas ... I'm working on that one

As for the Pina Coladas, that's just too fancy. Beer works for me.

Jon.......you say to click the icon to turn the pool boy off.....but, will there be an icon to click to make him come on? It's kind of embarrassing...because I have never really had a problem turning anything on before....

Well I don't know about a "Hooter Hockey Chick", but if you're willing to pay there's some naked chicks available here. Personally, I'm gonna eventually try making a "Hooter Hockey Chick" myself. I'm sure she'll end up looking like Frankenstein, but oh well as long as she has big tits and is wearing / removing a Maple Leafs Jersey ;D
