Ok, it's another win for us but I'm thinking that perhaps we should change our name to the HSC Oldtimers.
We took it to the Breeze in the first half, cruising to a 6-0 lead and then needed a walker to play the second half. We hung on for a 9-7 win on Sunday. We were short some players and just seemed to be gasping for air in the second half as the younger team out hustled us!
However, there's nothing like a little excitement to keep the heart pumping and perhaps that's a good thing for us!
Goals were scored by Harry Gill (3), Aldrin Ferrer (3), Joanne Brisciani (2), and Judy Coy.
This brings our record to 3-1, and in second place behind the HSC All-Stars and UMISA.
I cant quite figure out why the All-Stars are worried about us!
The season splits at the half way point into two divisions, (Top 5 and bottom 5) and someone from the All-Stars, whom I wont mention, wants us to lose on purpose because they figure we'd have a better chance playing against the weaker teams and could win a trophy.
Hell, my trophy would be to beat this team even once, so rest assured, we'll have none of that! Win, lose or even get destroyed, we're not taking the easy route!
