Holy Cow.... I'm glad Canada's hopes aren't resting entirely on the Flames.
It looked like Kippy was the only one that even showed up for the game.
Oh well, I sometimes think that in these series where one team dominates in game 1 that it gives a misleading perception of the overall outcome.... Detroit might be in for a suprise in game 2, and for the same reason Ottawa should beware.

Jon, Jon, Jon... I know you're a smart man but Jesus dude, wake up. I understand that you're a true Canadian fan but putting your hopes in these teams is going to frustrate you beyond medical intervention. [and you're even posting in the Maple Leaf blue  ] You need to remember that Canadians are a big part of most NHL squads and accept that a Canadian Stanley Cup victory might be years away. I do understand that Edmonton scored you a huge 18 points in the final weekend of the Season, but those big points may be few and far between. Kipper's good mind you, but he needs a team in front of him and unfortunately it's not this year man. So how about... or something like that? |

Calgary is a limp horse, Vancouver is out to sea, and Ottawa is a capital "L", which stands for "Loser" and not "Leaf Nation".
There is a tiny part of me which wants to cheer for these teams but when the alcohol kicks in, I disagree and kick my butt and say...
